Cynthia Pantazis is a principal in Bingham Consulting. She has over 20 years of federal and state government affairs experience representing corporate and public sector interests before state attorneys general, federal and state regulators, Congress, and the Administration.

Cynthia serves as a strategic adviser to Fortune 500 clients and assists corporations in negotiating and resolving attorneys general multistate investigations and litigation. She leads teams within corporations to develop and execute integrated legal and political strategies that proactively raise a company’s profile in target markets or defend against other corporations seeking to impact a client’s business.

She has extensive experience assisting leading Internet companies to develop effective strategies to address privacy and online safety compliance issues. Further, Cynthia assists companies in addressing antitrust issues with state attorneys general during mergers and acquisitions.

Throughout her career, she has developed and executed solutions across a diverse range of public policy issues including competitiveness, health care, tax, labor and the environment.

For 10 years, Cynthia served as the director of policy and public leadership for the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), representing the interests of corporate executives nationwide. She served as ASTD’s principal political strategist and spokesperson. She created and implemented advocacy and media campaigns for a coalition of Fortune 50 companies including those in the high-tech, pharmaceutical, financial services, manufacturing and energy industries. She successfully mobilized grassroots programs that leveraged 140 local chapters across 50 states.

Before joining ASTD, Cynthia served as director of federal affairs for the National Association of Towns and Townships, the nation’s largest local government organization. She advocated the organization’s interests before Congress, the Administration and the states.

Cynthia has published numerous articles and speaks at conferences on competitiveness, Internet safety, privacy and technology. In addition, she has held leadership positions with the American Society of Association Executives Government Relations Council and Women in Government Relations.
