Cynthia Pantazis is a senior consultant at Bingham Consulting Group. Prior to joining the firm, she served as the managing director of Potomac Solutions LLC, providing multifaceted government affairs, public policy and communications strategies to corporate and nonprofit organizations. She represented clients before Congress, federal agencies, the White House and trade associations.
Cynthia has 15 years of federal and state government affairs experience. She has successfully executed legislative and regulatory programs across diverse issue areas, including employment and labor markets, technology, tax, economic development and the environment. She has established strong working relationships with corporate leaders, elected officials and nongovernmental organizations.
As the director of policy and public leadership for the American Society for Training and Development, she developed and led strategic affairs and government relations on the federal and state levels for 10 years. ASTD is the 70,000-member global professional association representing organizational leaders responsible for human capital management and development. At ASTD, she also managed the Commission on Technology and Adult Learning, a collaboration with the National Governors Association. The commission was led by business leaders and state government officials who developed policy recommendations and a national blueprint for building and sustaining a highly skilled workforce.
Prior to joining ASTD, Cynthia directed environmental legislative and advocacy initiatives for the National Association of Towns and Townships, the 13,000-member local government organization. She spearheaded grassroots campaigns and built strategic coalitions among industry, environmental and nongovernmental organizations.
She has authored and co-authored numerous articles and reports on business and labor market trends, environmental cleanup and advocacy, including The Human Capital Challenge (2003), Maximizing E-Learning for America’s Workforce (2002) and A Vision of E-Learning for America’s Workforce (2001). In addition, she serves on the American Society of Association Executives Government Relations Section Council and is a member of Women in Government Relations.
