Dealing with Tribal Governments
Bingham Consulting provides clients with in-depth understanding, analysis and problem-solving related to the complex problems that arise in Indian country and fall within the scope of federal Indian law and policy. Our experience includes serving as a congressional appointee to the Indian Law and Order Commission. We assist clients in dealing with the challenges posed by tribal sovereignty as well as the economic and diverse governmental interests of American Indian and Native Alaskan peoples. These issues include, complex land use questions, taxation, civil and criminal jurisdiction and tribal courts, energy development, financial instruments and indebtedness, and intergovernmental relations, among others.
