We work with clients to help them develop and implement strategies to proactively engage with specific regulatory officials, at the federal, state and tribal levels and, just as importantly, to resolve problems and issues that arise. We understand the issues that are important to government officials as well as the underlying political pressures that can constrain or motivate government officials when they focus their attention on a business’ activities. Clients not only benefit from our ability to obtain essential and relevant information, but to in turn provide critical analyses and insights that enable them to confidently develop options and effectively execute targeted business and legal strategies.
Utilizing these insights and analyses, we work on our client’s behalf to strategically engage with specific government officials and their staff in order to help them gain a better understanding of our client’s business and create an ongoing dialogue on matters of mutual interest. For example, we worked with a social networking company to develop and execute a strategic approach for proactively reaching out to state Attorneys General and working with them to address Internet child safety issues. As a result of these efforts, that state Attorneys Generally ultimately came to see the company as a leading advocate in helping to address Internet child safety concerns.
Our experience also includes helping multinational companies efficiently navigate government agencies in order resolve issues impacting their business operations. By way of example, we helped a client navigate state, local and international bureaucratic obstacles for the expedited transportation and shipping of a replacement chemical reactor that was critical to the company’s operations in China.
